The Cactus Blossoms’ “You’re Dreaming” Embraced By The Press – Tour Dates Announced

You’re Dreaming, the inspired new album from Minneapolis based brother duo The Cactus Blossoms has resonated with the press. The album was produced by JD McPherson and released via Red House Records on January 22nd. Fusing elements of early rock’n’roll and classic country, The Cactus Blossoms (Page Burkum and Jack Torrey) have created a sound that is both timeless and contemporary. The ten original songs on the album highlight the brother’s incredible seamless vocals, which are drawing comparisons to the sounds of The Everly Brothers. You’re Dreaming was exclusively premiered via Garden & Gun (click HERE), and NPR Music has highlighted the track “Change Your Ways Or Die” in their monthly Heavy Rotation column (click HERE). Rolling Stone Country just included The Cactus Blossoms in their 10 New Country Artists You Need To Know feature (click HERE) and the album has also received coverage from a variety of outlets including The Boston Globe, Noisey, Utne Reader, American Songwriter, No Depression, Elmore, Glide and many more. You’re Dreaming is also making an impact on the Americana Radio Chart where it has jumped to #8.

“It won’t take more than one spin for these songs—all but two penned by Torrey – with their lovely, pure melodies and sharp wordplay, to get stuck in your brain.”American Songwriter

“There’s a ’60’s simplicity that’s instantly engaging – and the Minnesota duo’s pure, tight harmonies are superb. **** ”MOJO

“…the Cactus Blossoms maintain a mood that’s slow, lonesome, and blue, from the title track to the reverb-blanketed ‘If I Can’t Win.’ And at the heart of the mood is something that only comes naturally: the plaintive croon of hand-in-glove brotherly harmonies.” Boston Globe

“Stunning is the only word that will do.  Listen and believe.”
Robert K. Oermann, Music Row Magazine

“The brothers’ transcendent harmonies shine throughout and the slippery, spooky guitar work gives You’re Dreaming a stamp of authenticity, despite hailing from the frozen tundra of the North Star State.”Garden & Gun

The Cactus Blossoms will be taking their taking their classic sound on the road in support of You’re Dreaming. A highlight of the upcoming tour will be string of opening dates for Grammy award winning artist Kacey Musgraves. See full list of tour dates below.
