Matt Hires Announces Fall Headlining Tour In Support Of New Album American Wilderness

Alternative singer/songwriter Matt Hires has announced fall 2016 headlining tour dates in support of his upcoming new album American Wilderness, out October 14th via Rock Ridge Music. Kicking off in Orlando, FL on Sept. 24th, Hires will perform nationwide with stops in Chicago, Hollywood, New York City and more (see full list of dates below). Hires’ introspective lead single, “Fighting A Ghost” is available now, listen HERE.

American Wilderness captures the artist questioning his place in the world at 30 years old. Acknowledging the noise and commotion of culture and society through his songwriting, Hires discovered his ‘new voice’ and penned “Fighting A Ghost,” as one of the first tracks which helped set the tone for the rest of the album. The 10-song collection is lyrically his most personal and self-revealing work to date and communicates messages to his audience with context that stretches far past the boundaries of a usual love song.

Produced by Randall Kent, American Wilderness looks deeply into the darkness of personal and spiritual experience and shines a light on Hires’ gift for substantive storytelling. Recorded in Nashville, the album is the follow up to two previous F-Stop/Atlantic releases; This World Won’t Last Forever, But Tonight We Can Pretend, and Take Us To The Start which landed in the Top 10 on iTunes’ overall Top Albums chart. Hires songs have been heard in TV series; Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Cougar Town and more.
