NEW ALBUM GET OVER IT, UNDERDOG ON BLUE ÉLAN RECORDS
Named ‘Best Album In Nashville 2026’ – The Nashville Scene
“…a set of 11 songs that meld Tasjan’s knack for off-kilter but truly humanistic storytelling with vibrant melodies that shift and shine: a little glam rock, a little sing-talk folk, a lot of empathizing for the kind of underdog that may not get a lot of attention but still has a whole lot to say.” – Rolling Stone
“There’s simply no question that Tasjan’s made a masterpiece, an album so good it sets a standard as far as it’s pure pop perfection. These 10 songs effectively elevate Tasjan to a higher plateau where only the more accomplished artists are qualified to reside” – American Songwriter
“Not since Warren Zevon, Randy Newman, and Jackson Browne has a writer been able to accomplish as much with an album as Tasjan has with ‘Get Over it, Underdog.’” – Blogcritics
Nashville, TN – Celebrated Grammy-nominated artist, activist, and songwriter Aaron Lee Tasjan has released the melodic, guitar-driven new song “Good Luck Now!”. The track comes on the heels of Tasjan’s critically acclaimed album Get Over It, Underdog, which came out in July on Blue Élan Records.
Tasjan says of the track, “I wrote ‘Good Luck Now!’ with two of my favorite songwriters, Kim Richey and Chuck Prophet. I came in with the chorus and we all wrote the words. I never really know exactly what songs are about, but I love the idea of saying, ‘it’s good luck now, come what may.’ I think that feels like the truth to me as a guy who always maintains a positive outlook in life but also needs to feel like I come by it honestly.” He adds, “Bad things are always going to happen and in the face of knowing that, exhibiting joy might be the most punk rock thing we can do.”

Glide Magazine and much more (See Highlights).
“His most upbeat songs — like “Lost & Alone” on his new release, ‘Get Over It, Underdog’ — hit with the soaring sheen of a smarter, more jaded Full Moon Fever-era Tom Petty.” – No Depression
“With ‘Get Over It, Underdog,” Tasjan has turned a period of self-doubt into one of his most thoughtful and assured records…one of Americana’s most thoughtful and consistently compelling voices.” – Glide Magazine
“Listening to these 11 songs is like wandering through a funhouse hall of mirrors, only to realize the scariest reflections are the ones that are not distorted.” 9/10 – Popmatters
