“Sometimes the minute you hear a voice, you know it’s for the ages. That’s how Canadian Bella White, the daughter of a Virginia bluegrasser, enters the picture…White is poised for a major breakthrough.” NPR

Nashville, TN – Acclaimed singer-songwriter Bella White returns today with her new single “Little Things” on Rounder Records. The song marks White’s first collection of original material since 2023’s Among Other Things and follows last year’s touted covers EP, Five For Silver. Listen HERE.

Written by White and co-produced with Ross Farbe (of Video Age, Sun Hotel, and Native America), “Little Things” captures the unguarded spirit of White’s new home in New Orleans, where the city’s vibrant, communal music culture has shaped her creative process. The song reflects an environment where music flows freely – grounded in tradition yet imbued with the warmth and intimacy of lived experience. Watch the video for “Little Things” HERE.

“‘Little Things’ is a song about moving on,” says White. “I wrote it during a time when I was realizing that for a while I had been outgrowing some of the most central parts of my life and identity. I remember the weeks and months before writing it I was feeling a total lack of creativity and frankly kind of numb. When I finally sat down to try and write, I felt overcome with the knowledge that it was time for some big changes and that really scared me. It was the first song off of this album that I wrote and in some ways opened the floodgates for a very reflective time.”

The track opens a new chapter for White, whose artistry continues to transcend genre boundaries. Her 2023 album Among Other Things earned widespread critical acclaim, with Rolling Stone calling it “sublime Appalachian heartbreak,” and additional praise from NPR, Consequence, No Depression, Whiskey Riff, American Songwriter, Holler, and more. Earlier this year, her music appeared in multiple episodes of The Waterfront, and she shared stages with Tyler Childers, Dierks Bentley, and The Red Clay Strays.

White will support the release with a run of fall headline dates across the US, including stops in Brooklyn, Woodstock, Philadelphia, Austin, and Dallas (full list below).
