Daniel Donato Returns With His Long-awaited Sophomore Album REFLECTOR Out November 10th Via Retrace Music

Nashville, TN – Acclaimed singer/songwriter/guitar virtuoso Daniel Donato is set to release his highly-anticipated sophomore album Reflector on November 10th via Retrace Music. Reflector is Donato’s first collection of all original material and a true representation of the continuously evolving musical space he has carved out for himself, which he calls cosmic country. Listen to his new track and album opener “Lose Your Mind” HERE.

Daniel Donato’s cosmic country blends key elements of Southern rock, bluegrass, classic country and honky-tonk with Southern California folk and Northern California musical exploration, all revolving around a foundation of melodic songcraft. Donato has been performing and cultivating this style on the road since touring opened up again post-pandemic, and Reflector documents the ascending artist at just the right moment.

With tracks such as the lively sing-along “Hi-Country”, the beautiful “Halfway In Between” and the jubilant “Til The Daylight”, it is clear that Donato has a penchant for writing melody-rich, infectious songs. High-energy instrumentals “Sugar Leg Rag” and “Locomotive No.9” showcase his exceptional guitar prowess. The two-part epic “Dance In The Desert (Pts I & II)” and the bluesy funk of “Double Exposure” make it evident that there are no limitations to Donato’s vision and no boundaries in the space he has created with cosmic country.

In 2022 alone Donato and his band – Nathan Aronowitz (keyboards/vocals), Will McGee (bass/vocals) and Noah Miller (drums and percussion) – performed over 220 shows. Together they have brought their sound and their incendiary live performances to new heights, and audiences and artists are taking notice. Already in 2023, Donato performed as a guest on stage with Bobby Weir & The Wolf Brothers and Widespread Panic and will be joining Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann as a member of his band Billy & The Kids for two dates in August. Reflector is the follow up to Donato’s 2020 independent debut, A Young Man’s Country, an album that served as an introduction to a gifted young artist and extraordinary guitar player. The album was well received by the press with positive coverage that included, Rolling Stone Country, American Songwriter, No Depression, Magnet Magazine, PREMIERGuitar and The Bluegrass Situation. Donato was also the subject of a 2020 feature in Relix Magazine.

Reflector was produced by multi-Grammy Award winning producer/engineer/mixer Vance Powell (White Stripes, Arctic Monkeys, Chris Stapleton).
