Today, The Sounding Joy: Hiss Golden Messenger Meets Revelators on South Robinson Street arrives on Bandcamp and more digital streaming services. The Sounding Joy serves as a dub remix companion to Hiss Golden Messenger’s recently released holiday album, O Come All Ye Faithful, both out now on Merge Records.
Revelators is a new project from Hiss Golden Messenger’s M.C. Taylor and Spacebomb’s Cameron Ralston. Taylor refers to Revelators as “spiritual jazz and dub-influenced.” The Sounding Joy features six remixes of tracks from O Come All Ye Faithful, inspired by legendary dub pioneers Osbourne “King Tubby” Ruddock and Lee “Scratch” Perry (see track listing below). The Sounding Joy is included with the limited Peak Vinyl edition of O Come All Ye Faithful and is currently streaming at all DSPs. Listen to The Sounding Joy HERE.

Released on October 22nd, O Come All Ye Faithful is a contemplative holiday album that serves as a meditation on grace, loss, hope and community. The album features three new songs written by Taylor, traditional classics and new renditions of “Shine a Light” by Spiritualized, “As Long As I Can See the Light” by Creedence Clearwater Revival and “Hanukkah Dance” by Woody Guthrie, all arranged in the distinctive Hiss Golden Messenger style.
