Shane Smith & The Saints to make network TV debut on CBS Saturday Morning March 30th

Nashville, TN – Celebrated Austin, TX band Shane Smith & the Saints will make their network television debut on CBS Saturday Morning this Saturday, March 30th. The group will perform songs from their new album Norther, which came out on March 1st via Thirty Tigers/Geronimo West Records. Norther, their first album in five years, has received high praise from the press following its release (see highlights), including an in-depth new feature in Rolling Stone HERE.

“The Saints’ songs often have an Old West feel both musically and lyrically, while Smith’s dramatic vocal style has a cinematic quality.” – No Depression

“This is heady stuff with a band that takes plenty of chances… they are now poised to reap the rewards of their signature mix of country, Americana, Southern rock, folk, flat-out rock, and whatever else you want to mix into their stew.” – Glide Magazine

“The epicness and weight that Shane Smith & the Saints evoke through their songs is something virtually unparalleled in the modern era of music. Even assigning genre to it seems like a diminishing qualifier.” 8.6/10 – Saving Country Music

“…Shane Smith & The Saints are poised to cement their position at the forefront of the traditional-leaning, alt-country wave of artists with the release of their highly anticipated 2024 project, ‘Norther.’” – Holler

“The project features some of the band’s boldest soundscapes yet, ranging from riveting rock to
pleasant piano ballads”– Wide Open Country

Earlier this week, Shane Smith & the Saints made their Grand Old Opry debut and taped an episode of the Emmy Award-winning PBS series The Caverns Sessions for its new season.

Shane Smith & the Saints are a salt-of-the-earth band who abide by a blue-collar ethos. They have built their career with great songwriting, constant touring, incendiary live performances, and maintaining lasting connections with a fervent fanbase. They have done all of this independently, and their hard work is paying off. In 2023, the band sold out Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Chicago’s Thalia Hall, Washington, DC’s 9:30 Club, Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern, Cleveland’s Beachland Ballroom, Asheville’s Orange Peel, Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse, and many more.

Shane Smith & the Saints is Shane Smith (acoustic guitar/lead vocals), Bennett Brown (fiddle), Dustin Schaefer (lead guitar), Chase Satterwhite (bass), and Zach Stover (drums).

Shane Smith & the Saints are currently on tour in support of Norther, which includes a return to Red Rocks, a performance at Stagecoach in Indio, CA, as well a trip across the pond to play a string of dates in Europe. See a full list of dates below.
