Austin, Texas-based quintet Shane Smith & The Saints has released their long-awaited new single, “Hummingbird.” The song is the first new music from the beloved band in four years, and not a moment too soon for their legions of fervent fans.
Featuring Smith’s thoughtful lyrics and soulful, impassioned vocals, “Hummingbird” is a hauntingly beautiful track that balances melody with intensity. “This song, for me personally, takes a step back in time to some of the older, classic music I grew up listening to, anytime I was riding around with my dad,” says Smith. “It’s a love song at its core, but it covers some heavier subject matter around anxiety and depression that I think a lot of folks can relate to these days. Shane Smith & The Saints have made a name for themselves as road warriors, playing over 100 shows annually to capacity crowds.
