NASHVILLE, TN – Celebrated singer/songwriter John R. Miller’s critically acclaimed album Heat Comes Down turned one year old on October 6th. To commemorate the milestone, Rounder Records will release Wayward Wind exclusively on 7” vinyl.  For fans of his 2023 album, this special Wayward Wind pressing will feature “Outset Of The Breeze” and “Garden Of Fools,” two unreleased tracks from the original album recording sessions. “Our album Heat Comes Down is turning one-year-old this month, and I’d like to extend my sincere gratitude to the folks that have dug it up and have spent time with it,” says Miller. “Getting to make this record was very special to me, and I’m super proud of what we captured with Andrija Tokic and John James Tourville at the Bomb Shelter.”

“However,” he adds. “We didn’t get to put all the songs we liked on the record due to the limitations of the medium… These two songs were kind of the odd ones out of the bunch, but I still wanted them to make it out there somehow. Though we’ve been playing both of them regularly live, I’m glad to say the studio versions are now seeing a proper release in the form of a 7″ single. Enjoy, and thanks for listening.”

Upon its 2023 release, Heat Comes Down was met with high praise from the press, further cementing Miller as an honest, understated, introspective wordsmith whose songs reflect various sides of the human condition. SPIN said, “His music reflects a refreshingly raw honesty, reflectiveness, and the undeniable beauty in discovery and growth.” No Depression said of the album, “Some songwriters write short stories. Some write anthems. Some write life itself…a record that reveals its facets with time.”
