Turnpike Troubadours Announce Fall East Coast Tour With Special Guests The Black Lillies

Acclaimed Oklahoma quintet Turnpike Troubadours have announced an East Coast tour with special guests The Black Lillies.  Both bands will be touring in support of Fall albums being released via Thirty Tigers.  The new run of dates comes in addition to Turnpike Troubadours already packed tour schedule in support of their upcoming self-titled release, which will hit streets on September 18th.  One of the most overlooked, yet wildly popular roots rock bands today, Turnpike Troubadours have sold over 200,000 records worldwide, built a rabid and steadily growing fan-base and pack venues across the country.

Turnpike Troubadours’ fans have long been drawn to their fiery live performances, however the true strength of the band has always been their songwriting.  The 12 songs on the new album are a testament to this, with the lyrics being the center of attention, and vocalist Evan Felker spinning stories so compelling that you’re immediately drawn in.  Songs such as “The Mercury” and “Bossier City” showcase the band’s raucous energy, while the bands more poignant and melodic side shines on “Down Here”, and “How Do You Fall Out Of Love”.

Turnpike Troubadour’s acclaimed 2012 album Goodbye Normal Street was covered by publications including The Wall Street Journal, CMT Edge, Playboy Magazine, and The Washington Post who called it “the most unjustly overlooked Americana album of 2012”.  Based on how much they’ve grown since then, you’ll want to pay attention to Turnpike Troubadours this year.
